Yes but the wait is very long. They have only 1/2 seating they normally do
I live in Georgia Don't know
More than likely but to be safe, you'll have to call and confirm that they are and their hours.
They close at 4:00
You will breathe bacon when you enter. Not a chance for a vegan.
We felt that the way we were treated was an indication that everyone there did their job with love 💖
Great food and beautiful view
We love to eat breakfast at Peters. And do go there many Saturdays... and food is very good and they work hard to seat and please you.. very busy each time we go... our problems is the place is just not clean. They need to really do a remodel and clean the place up... it is worn out. Today was a day that we wondered about going back because it felt so nasty. I have never gone into bathroom, but can only imagine it would the same. We were in restaurant business 35 years and cleanliness comes first. I gave Peters a 2 star because of cleanliness ... no problem with food... it is great.
Sit at the counter and watch the boys work together as a team. Very cool. Great food!!
Excellent! We walked right in and get a table with a watersedge view. All four of our meals were good quantity and quality. Will definitely be back.
A short wait for a table for two. A real busy place with friendly patrons and staff. Great breakfast overlooking the river. Good food and good coffee served up very quickly. Glad we stopped, it was nice.
The place was packed with a thirty minute wait... and it was worth every minute!! Everything was delicious. Sherrie was our waitress, she was so nice and very attentive. Thank you Sherrie!Definitely a new favorite breakfast spot when we're up in Cherokee camping. 😋
Delicious. Dont worry about the wait, nice rocking chairs out front help. Excellent, fast service.
Mom & Pop style country cooking that leaves you licking your fingers and looking for more 😊
Good portions. North Carolina knows breakfast better than most.
Great little breakfast place and right on the river that we stopped at before we got to the blue ridge parkway for our early morning drive. It was fast and friendly. The breakfast was great.
Great food, pancakes and waffles were delicious. They also had some amazing coffee.
This was the best breakfast we have ever had at a restaurant! Although we had to wait an hour to be seated, it was totally worth it and we hope to go back! While waiting outside on the beautiful Sunday morning(7/12/20) they have several rocking chairs you can relax in. I had the strawberry waffles and OMG!! BEST WAFFLE EVER! He had gravy biscuits, eggs, bacon and the short stack to "try" a little of everything. Three Plates later and we were so full we were miserable! No need to eat the rest of the day. The waitress was busy but very attentive and we never needed anything! If ever in the area, it is a MUST!
We always make Peter's our breakfast stop when we are in Cherokee. The employees are friendly and efficient. The food is always excellent and plentiful. The bonus is that it is located on the side of a lovely mountain stream.
Great food, with large portions. This is a busy place. The seating is a little tight and not designed for a group more than 4. We had six people and they only had one table that would seat our party. We broke into two booths of three back to back which worked great for us. However, their booths are not really big enough for two people on one side especially if you are not small people. The food was very good. You will not walk away hungry. You will probably need to park across the street. We will revisit when we are back in the area!
Simple place, great view out of the back window. Breakfast was delicious! Much better than average! So glad we found this place.
What a great breakfast food stop just before the Great Smokey Mountains Park and right on the river! We arrived just before noon, so there was a small wait, but service was fast and the food was delicious! Can’t wait to return on our next visit to Cherokee!
Great service, very kind and attentive. The food was delicious and they provide generous portions. Good coffee also. A great place to eat.
Very nice place to eat. Reasonable prices. Great view of the river while you eat. Wait staff very pleasant. Will definitely eat there again.
best breakfast and reasonable prices. the wait is well worth it. we always stay at the wigwam so we just gotta walk across street to eat. friendly and family oriented. get the pancakes-they're the BEST!!!
Great food and service! Had a little bit of a wait to get seated, but it was well worth it! Definitely will be back.
Fantastic as always . I always love coming here for breakfast . I'm never disappointed. My favorite thing on the menu is the blueberry pancakes there fantastic.
Love this place. Everyone is super friendly. Food is amazing. Service is great. Prices are great. Took my daddy there a couple months before he died. He was so weak. Had oxygen tank and walker. The older male cashier helped my.mom and myself get my dad safely seated and back out to our car.
We were excited to try this place since it had so many great reviews. Luckily we got a table by the window which was great. There were empty tables near us while people were waiting a long time for a table, which I didn't understand. My eggs we not done enough for me. The whites were still runny, when I specifically asked for whites to be done. My boyfriend ordered cheese eggs, cheese was cheddar which is weird. Pancakes were good. Waffle House is better, but we wanted to support a locally owned business.
It's worth the wait. Peter's waffle is literally the best waffle I've ever eaten. And there's an awesome view
Very nice place for breakfast. We had a table by the water and it was a nice experience.
Great food reasonable price friendly service
Yum! I had the backpacker pancakes. They were fantastic.
Throw back breakfast diner. Hot, fresh, reasonably priced food and LOTS of it! Check it out - satisfaction guaranteed.
Stopped by Friday 8/7 and they are only doing take out. It would be nice if the Facebook page and website (which isn't working) would reflect the current operating status.
The best breakfast! Large portions absolutely delicious blueberry pancakes and strawberry waffles!
Great fast service. Very friendly employees. Breakfast wash awesome.
Great service. Large portions. Tasty breakfast food. Cash only.
We came in at closing unintentionally (google says 2:00 PM, we showed up at 12:50 PM but apparently closing is at 1:00 PM) and the food was fantastic, service was fast/good, but not all items were warm. I would have given 5 stars if all items were warm. A must try if in the area though. Thanks for the great breakfast experience.
I went to Cherokee on Feb 7 2020 for a weekend getaway. Well it snowed the next day and this place was one of the few places open for breakfast. They have some of the best pancakes I have ever tasted and when I go back to Cherokee i will go there again.
Staff 5 stars. Very friendly/hard workers. Food-3 stars. The biscuits and gravy were pretty much what I make at home. I use Pillsbury frozen biscuits and Pioneer sawmill gravy. My husband said the omlet was good. The bacon and coffee were great. I just assumed since Hardee's and Cracker Barrel makes fresh biscuits every day, that they would. Nope.
The true highlight of our family trip was visiting this quaint little family oriented breakfast spot. This was the first year I was able to visit Cherokee along with my family, who travel here yearly. And my! They didn't lie when they said BEST breakfast in town! The service was prompt, tables were filled as fast as one family left. The staff were very friendly and our breakfast was phenomenal! They serve large portions so go with your best appetite and take in the ambiance all at the same time!
Our food was great and so was the service. We had a long wait but expected with reduced seating due to Covid.
The best breakfast EVER!! And the servings are very generous. I'll definitely eat there again when we revisit Cherokee!! 😋😋😋
Man!! Yoooou better come hungry! Big portions, great pecan pancakes and an awesome setting!
Awesome place. Be prepared to wait 30 to 45 minutes. It Is Worth The Wait!! Huge portions, great service and very affordable.
The food is amazing! Probably the best meals I’ve ever had in recent memory! I don’t leave a lot of reviews but this place was totally worth the stop.
If you're looking for the best breakfast in Cherokee, you have found it at Peter's Pancakes and Waffles! This place is hands down the best breakfast in town. The food is delicious and the price isn't bad at all.
We like this place, always decent food. However I can't tell you the times we haven't stopped because of not having cash on hand. Seems their internet has been down for several years now. I'm wondering how much business they have actually lost due to not accepting cards. Also, their table service is less than stellar, always slow to take your order.
Delicious down home breakfast reasonably priced! The bonus for us was that it was open later than most breakfast nooks in the area. Our waitress was incredibly nice and took the time to explain the menu. Everything was cooked to expectation (however if you don’t eat your bacon crispy, let them know when you order). Only complaint was that they were out of sirloins at 12pm (for the steak and eggs). Highly recommend the pancakes!
Love their table side view of the River. Pancakes are awesome! Really great county food and plenty. Very friendly staff. Can't wait for next visit to Cherokee NC and eat at Peter's!
There was a long wait but only because the covid has restaurants seating 6ft apart but delicious home cooked style breakfast
Great breakfast anytime of the day! Our favorite place to eat when in Cherokee.
On recommendation, and with no difficulty in finding the restaurant, we were more than pleasantly surprised. The service was superior! The food was so very, very good! There is a very good reason that one often has to stand in a long line to get seated.Do not mistake me, if you are looking for a "gourmet" restaurant, this isn't it. This is down-home, warm-your-heart-and-soul comfort cooking. All four of our thumbs are up!
Love it here! Always come here when we're in town
